The
Famous Cublington Village Fete The annual Cublington
village fete is set in the delightful gardens of the local rectory which
has a traditional charm that attracts visitors from all over the county.
One might half expect to find Miss Marple nosing around in the flower
beds looking for a clue to solve her latest case, but thankfully not many
fete goers or helpers have been struck down recently. |

You might even get
a glimpse of the Lesser Spotted Morris Dancers if you're very lucky -
they were back again last year by popular request. Everyone connected
with the Fete has a good time, and we do make a profit - over £4000
last year - which goes back to the village, helping St Nicholas Church
The Village Hall and Orchard Ground facilities. A small army of volunteers
come together to help plan and organise this event, running stalls or
generally lifting and moving on the day of the Fete. If you would like to join in, please contact Ian Grimshaw on 01296 681474. You should enjoy it, and hopefully you will not end up in 'The Mysterious Case of the Vanishing Fete-helper'. |
